Exc. (+) condition. One-owner guitar. This is definitely one of the finest 1970's D-35's that you can buy. Wonderful condition and wonderful tone. Rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck. Killer spruce top. Rosewood peghead overlay. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Very little evidence of prior use. Some light pick marks on top. Some light finish checking here and there, and some light shirt button marks on back. Multiple bindings seen on all quarters of top, back, and sides of guitar, and around heelcap. Single-bound fingerboard. Decorative wood strips between the three pieces of wood on the back. Original "patent-pending" Grover Rotomatic tuners. Original bridgepins and endpin. Strap button installed on heel. Graduated pearl dot position markers inlaid in fingerboard. This is a crack-free guitar. Finish is in very beautiful condition throughout. This is the sort of D-35 that a serious flatpicker will love. Punch, power, and great highs to match the huge bass. Very nice figured burled “crotch” walnut resonator. Straight-grain American Black Walnut neck. Ebony radiused fingerboard with abalone inlays and jumbo frets. Abalone Nechville logo at top of peghead with abalone flourish in center of peghead. Abalone truss rod cover. Five Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons. Very nice tortoise multiple bindings along neck, top edge and back edge of resonator, and heel cap. The tortoiseshell in this binding is “lit up” by a layer of white underneath which reflects light back through for you to see a brighter version of the tortoise. Comes with Nechville flathead tone ring on the patented Nechville heli-mount system. Nickel plated hardware with beautiful Ebony armrest.
This banjo is in such great condition, it’s hard to believe that it has been owned and held. There is no player wear. No problems. Again- this banjo is in brand new condition selling for substantially less than a new one.
The sound is very quick but not shrill. Good resonance and sound. Comes with original hard shell case.

Parts Banjo. New banjo made up of new and used high-end parts. This banjo is made using same parts that Will Williams used in many of his "Custom" banjos: Williams neck; Cox 3-ply Maple rim; Prucha/Ptacek flathead tone ring; Prucha hardware. Resonator is older Mahogany resonator appointed like early RB-4 resonator with white/black/white bindings and 2 concentric circles of same in back.. Williams custom neck shows a repaired heel crack. It has a flat Rosewood fingerboard with ornate pearl inlays in peghead and fingerboard. Frets have recently been milled. H&K main tuners, with Schaller 5th, all with matching Ivoroid buttons. New. Solid Mahogany Squareneck "L" body with soundpost construction and baffle inside upper bout of body. Made in USA by National, these new Scheerhorns are pretty nice. Beautiful Honduran Mahogany body and neck, with ivoroid bindings on top and back edge of body and along fingerboard. Ebony fingerboard with dot inlay position markers and Scheerhorn logo inlaid near end of fingerboard.

Exc condition. No strap button ever installed. One pickguard crack on inside edge of pickguard repaired. Center seam crack from bridge to binding reglued. Neck reset by John Joyner in recent years. Predominantly quarter-sawn Brazilian Rosewood. High-grade spruce top. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Graduated pearl dot inlays in fingerboard. Appears to be original bridgepins and endpin. Original bridge. Original pickguard. All original finish. Original Nickel Grover "Pat. Pend." tuners. Finish checking evident around top and some lines of it in back of neck. Neck profile is a beautiful rounded V. Top is very nice and flat below bridge. No distortion, no bulging. 6-ply cream binding showing on top edge. 3-ply matching binding showing on back edge. Cream heelcap and multiple-bound endwedge to match. Decorative wooden marketry strip in center seam of back. Diamond volute in back of peghead. Playability is very excellent on this guitar with recent professional setup. The sound is in the higher echelons of example for this era of Martins. Very fast, sure attack, very good balance. Top has Herringbone purfling, and Ivoroid binding. Back has 3-ply Ivoroid binding. Decorative "zipper" center seam inlay. Mahogany neck. Radiused Ebony fingerboard with Abalone "cut-diamond" inlays.
